You're reading the morning news on Soha or Báo Mới and come across a compelling reportage clip — you want to send it to a family group chat or save it for a commute without WiFi. No download button on the page. What now?
Which Video Players Do Vietnamese News Sites Use?
Most major Vietnamese news sites embed video from one of three sources:
- YouTube — most common; identifiable by the YouTube logo in the video corner
- Facebook — clips shared from the outlet's Facebook page into the article
- Custom player — the outlet's own video server (less common)
Downloading YouTube-Embedded Clips
- Right-click the video — if you see a YouTube context menu, it's a YouTube embed
- Select Copy video URL (or open in new tab to get the youtube.com link)
- Open klypio.com/tools/youtube-downloader
- Paste the link → choose quality → download
Downloading Facebook-Embedded Clips
- Click the video — it usually opens the Facebook page directly
- Copy the URL from the address bar (facebook.com/...)
- Open klypio.com/tools/facebook-video-downloader
- Paste the link → download the MP4
Faster Method on Mobile: Telegram Bot
If you read news on your phone, this is faster than opening a browser:
- Open Telegram → search @KlypioBot
- Copy the video link from the news article → send it to the bot
- The bot sends back the video file in seconds
