Skillshare is a subscription service — you pay monthly and get access to the full class library. The catch: every watch requires an internet connection. If you study on trains, flights, or in low-signal areas, that's a real barrier.
Important: This guide applies only to classes in your active subscription. It doesn't apply to content outside your plan.
Does Skillshare Have an Offline Feature?
Yes — in the mobile app. The Skillshare app (iOS and Android) lets you download classes for offline playback. Open a class → tap the download icon → the video saves inside the app. Like Udemy's offline mode, playback is locked to the Skillshare app and disappears if your subscription lapses.
Personal Archiving for Classes You've Paid For
If you want to save videos from classes in your active subscription to your personal computer for long-term access, Klypio supports this.
How: Open the Skillshare class, copy each video's URL → paste into klypio.com/app or send to @KlypioBot. Videos download as standard MP4 files, playable in any video player.
Saving multiple lessons at once: see how to download multiple videos at once.
Organizing Your Learning Library
Suggested folder structure:
Courses/Skillshare/[Class-Name]/- Name files sequentially:
01-intro.mp4

Usage Rules
Downloading for personal offline study and long-term archiving is reasonable use while your subscription is active. Sharing files with people who don't subscribe to Skillshare is copyright infringement and violates the terms of service. Read more: copyright and fair use guide for creators.
