You've paid for a Udemy course. But every time you sit down to study, you need a solid internet connection. On a commute, in a low-signal area, or simply when you don't want to burn through mobile data — you want the lectures on your device. Here's how.
Important: Everything in this guide applies only to courses you own on Udemy — content you've purchased and have active access to.
Udemy's Official Offline Feature
Udemy's mobile app (iOS and Android) has a built-in download feature. In any course you own, tap the download icon next to each lecture. The video saves inside the app for offline playback.
Limitation: Playback is locked to the Udemy app. You can't open the file in another video player. If you uninstall the app or your access expires, the downloads disappear.
Personal Archiving for Courses You Own
Many learners want to save lectures from courses they own to their personal computer for long-term access — especially since Udemy occasionally removes courses from the platform (even courses you've already purchased).
Klypio supports saving content from courses you own and have access to. Paste the lecture URL into klypio.com/app or send it to @KlypioBot to save locally.

Organizing Your Personal Course Library
After downloading, organize with a clear folder structure:
Courses/Udemy/[Course-Name]/Section-01/- Name files sequentially:
01-intro.mp4,02-setup.mp4
For a full library management approach, see the creator video library organization guide.
Usage Rules to Keep in Mind
Downloading lectures from courses you own for personal study, offline watching, and long-term archiving is reasonable personal use. Sharing files with others or uploading them publicly is copyright infringement and violates Udemy's terms. Read more: copyright and fair use guide for creators.
