BeReal is a real-time photo/video social app — no filters, just genuine moments. You and your friends share daily snapshots, but those moments can be lost if you don't save them. This guide covers saving BeReal posts your friends share with you and your own posts as personal memories.
Saving Your Own BeReal Posts
This is the simplest and most official method:
- Open BeReal → go to your profile
- Tap the post you want to save
- Tap the three dots (···) → select Save to Camera Roll
BeReal allows saving your own posts directly from the app. This is an official feature — no external tools needed.
Saving Friends' BeReal Posts Shared With You
When a friend posts a BeReal and you see it in your friend feed:
- Long-press your friend's BeReal in the feed
- Some app versions show a Save photo option — if available, tap to save
- If no option appears, use your phone's screenshot function
Important: only save BeReal posts that friends specifically shared with you (in your friend feed), not public Discovery posts or content from strangers. Purpose is personal memory keeping — not redistribution.
Saving From Discovery Feed (Public Posts)
For posts in Discovery (public), BeReal doesn't provide a save button. You can screenshot them, but remember: this is someone else's content. Keep it for personal use only and don't share without permission.
Organizing Your BeReal Memory Archive
Create a dedicated album in your camera roll or Google Photos called "BeReal [year]". Add dates to filenames if needed: bereal-2026-05-01.jpg. More organization tips: media library organization guide.
