BlueSky is growing fast as a decentralized social network. More creators and journalists are posting videos there — and sometimes you want to save a clip to watch later, archive it, or use it in your work.
The problem: BlueSky doesn't have a built-in video download button like other platforms. This guide shows you how to save videos from public posts on BlueSky.
Privacy and Public Posts
BlueSky has two account types: public and followers-only. This guide applies only to videos in public posts — content anyone can view. Saving for personal archiving is reasonable use, but you shouldn't repost someone else's content without permission.
How to Save BlueSky Videos
Option 1 — Klypio Web App
- Open the BlueSky post containing the video you want to save
- Click ... (More) → Copy post link, or copy the URL from your browser's address bar
- Go to klypio.com/app → paste the link → download
Option 2 — @KlypioBot on Telegram
- Copy the BlueSky post link
- Send the link to @KlypioBot
- The bot processes the link and sends the video file to your chat within seconds
Most convenient on mobile — no need to open a browser, receive the MP4 file directly in Telegram.
Why Doesn't BlueSky Have a Built-In Download Button?
BlueSky (built on the AT Protocol) hasn't integrated a native video download feature in its official interface — unlike Twitter/X or TikTok. This is a platform limitation, not a technical bug. Using an external tool is the only option for now.
Download Videos From Other Social Platforms
Klypio supports video downloads from many social networks:
- Twitter/X video downloader
- Facebook video downloader
- Instagram video downloader
- Reddit video downloader
See all supported platforms: klypio.com/platforms.
Save BlueSky videos now: klypio.com/app or @KlypioBot.
