You finished your Facebook selling live, closed the app — then realized you never saved the video. Customers ask about products from past lives, and without the file you're stuck. The good news: Facebook keeps the video after it ends, and downloading it is free.
Where Facebook Stores Your Ended Live Video
After a live ends, Facebook automatically saves it to the Videos tab on your page or profile. It appears as "Live Video" or just "Video" depending on how you went live. Facebook keeps these indefinitely unless you delete them or they violate content policies.
The problem: Facebook doesn't offer a direct download button for live videos. You need a tool to get the MP4 file.
How to Find the Video Link
- Go to your shop's Facebook page → click the Videos tab
- Find the recently ended live — usually labeled "Live Video"
- Click the video → copy the URL from your browser address bar
- URL format:
facebook.com/video/xxxorfb.watch/xxx
If you went live from mobile and can't find it on the Videos tab, check Reels & Video Drafts in your page settings.
Download the Live Video With Klypio
Once you have the link, downloading takes under a minute:
- Open Klypio's Facebook video downloader
- Paste the video link
- Select quality (720p or 1080p) and download
The downloaded MP4 is the original quality file. No Klypio account required — free to use.
What to Do With the Downloaded Video
- Cut short clips of individual products to post as Reels or TikToks
- Send directly to customers who missed the live and asked about products
- Archive as training material for new team members
- Review your pitch and improve for the next live session
