You missed a TikTok Live from someone you follow. You open their profile — there's a replay, but it shows "expires in 3 hours." Or you ran your own live and forgot to save it before TikTok deletes the replay.
TikTok keeps replays for a maximum of 72 hours after a live ends — and creators can disable replay access at any point. Here's how to handle both situations.
How long does a TikTok Live replay stay up?
Under TikTok's current setup (subject to policy changes): replays remain accessible for up to 72 hours after the live ends. After that, TikTok deletes them. Creators can also manually delete replays or disable the replay feature from their live settings. Save while it's still there.
How to save a TikTok Live replay while it's still available
- Go to the creator's profile → find "Live Videos" or "Replay" → open the replay
- Copy the URL from the address bar
- Go to klypio.com/tiktok-video-downloader → paste the link → download
On mobile:
- Long-press the replay → Share → Copy link
- Send the link to @KlypioBot on Telegram
- The bot processes and returns the video file
Saving your own live replay
If you're the creator, TikTok can save the replay to your device right after the live ends — but you must enable this before you start:
- Go to live settings → enable "Save video to device" before tapping go live
- After the live, TikTok automatically saves the full replay to your camera roll
If you forgot to enable it, you still have the 72-hour window to download via an external tool.
Replay already gone — any options left?
If the replay has been deleted or the 72-hour window has passed, there is no way to recover it from outside TikTok. TikTok does not keep replays on publicly accessible servers after the expiry. Save immediately if you see a replay — don't wait.
