Google Drive is commonly used to share large video files via public links — online courses, tutorial videos, shared resources. Downloading them directly isn't always smooth, especially on mobile where the built-in download button frequently misbehaves.
The Direct Download Button (When It Works)
Public Drive files often have a download button — click it and done. But for large videos, Google shows a "can't scan for viruses" warning that sometimes hides the actual download button. On mobile, the button frequently redirects to the Drive app instead of saving the file to your device.
Downloading Google Drive Videos via Klypio
- Open the shared Google Drive link in your browser
- Copy the URL from the address bar (format:
drive.google.com/file/d/...) - Go to klypio.com/app and paste the link
- Klypio processes and downloads the video as a standard MP4 file
This works for publicly accessible links (anyone with the link can view). Files requiring a specific Google account login cannot be downloaded externally.
On Mobile
The Google Drive app on mobile often won't save files to external storage directly. Klypio works through the browser — open Chrome, paste the link, and it downloads to your Downloads folder. Alternatively, send the Drive link to @KlypioBot on Telegram and receive the MP4 file directly in the chat.
