Free. iOS Shortcuts is Apple's built-in automation app — no third-party installs needed. Combined with Klypio, you can create a Share Sheet action that downloads any Reel from Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook to your camera roll in one tap.
How the Workflow Works
- You're watching a Reel on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.
- Tap Share → select your custom Shortcut.
- The Shortcut opens Klypio with the link pre-filled.
- Klypio downloads the video, saves to your photo library.
Building the Basic Shortcut
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app on iPhone.
Step 2: Tap "+" to create a new shortcut.
Step 3: Add the action "Get URLs from Input" — this captures the link from the Share Sheet.
Step 4: Add "Open URLs in Safari" with URL: https://klypio.com/tools/instagram-downloader?url=[URL]
Step 5: Name the shortcut and enable "Show in Share Sheet."
From that point, hit Share on any Reel and pick the shortcut — Klypio opens with the link pre-filled.
Advanced Version: Via Telegram Bot
Instead of opening a browser, configure the Shortcut to send the link to @KlypioBot on Telegram. The bot returns the file directly in chat — fully automated, no browser needed.
