When multiple creators jointly promote a product or service under a shared affiliate programme, reach increases significantly. But without a clear structure — who gets commission when a user clicks Creator A's link but buys after watching Creator B's video — things get messy fast.
Important note: Before joining or organising an affiliate programme, read the Terms of Service of the affiliate network you are using carefully (e.g. Accesstrade, TikTok Shop Affiliate, Shopee Affiliate). This template is a reference document only — it does not replace legal advice.
Basic structure of a joint affiliate programme
- Commission pool: The merchant or brand pays commissions into a shared pool, which is divided among creators per an agreed ratio
- Individual tracking links: Each creator uses their own affiliate link to accurately track which conversions each person drove
- Payment cycle: Agree on a clear payment schedule (weekly, monthly) and method (bank transfer, e-wallet)
- Minimum payout threshold: Set a minimum commission balance before triggering payment — avoids processing tiny individual transfers
Common commission split models
- Equal split: Each creator receives the same share. Simple but does not reflect actual contribution
- Performance-based: Those who drive more conversions earn more. Fairer but requires reliable tracking
- Hybrid: A fixed portion (e.g. 30% of total pool) split equally, the remainder split by performance

Legal notes and Terms of Service
- Read each affiliate network's Terms of Service carefully — some networks do not allow multiple creators to simultaneously promote the same product via separate affiliate links
- Ensure you comply with affiliate disclosure requirements on each platform (e.g. #ad or #affiliatelink tags)
- This template does not replace legal advice — for larger programmes, have a lawyer review the agreement
