Multi-Creator Joint Course Launch Guide for Vietnam 2026

How to run a multi-creator joint course launch in Vietnam 2026. Role division, revenue sharing and legal risk management — does not replace professional legal advice.

Launching a course alone is expensive and exhausting. Launching with two or three other creators can double your reach while splitting production costs. But collaborating without clear upfront agreements usually leads to conflict down the line.

Important note: This article provides a general practical framework. It does not replace professional legal advice. Before signing any contract or agreeing to revenue splits, consult a lawyer. In addition, each training platform (Udemy, Teachable, local Vietnamese platforms) has its own terms regarding content ownership and revenue sharing — read the platform terms carefully before committing.

Step 1: Define each creator's role

A joint course typically needs at least three roles:

  • Content Lead: Responsible for curriculum, lectures, and exercises. Usually receives a higher revenue percentage.
  • Marketing Lead: Manages the launch campaign, promotion, and affiliates. May receive a fixed fee or revenue percentage.
  • Ops Lead: Manages the platform, student support, and payments. Usually receives a fixed amount or a smaller percentage.

You do not always need three separate people — one creator can cover two roles — but the division must be documented clearly in writing.

Step 2: Agree on revenue sharing before launch

A common revenue-sharing framework:

  • Production costs (recording, editing, design) are reimbursed first from gross revenue.
  • The remainder is split according to agreed ratios (for example: 50/30/20 for three creators).
  • Specify clearly: what happens if one creator wants to exit the project mid-way?

Document everything in writing even for simple agreements. See also: multi-creator revenue split template.

Step 3: Phased launch plan

  • Pre-launch (4–6 weeks): Build a waitlist, generate buzz across all creators' social channels, free preview webinar.
  • Launch week: Open cart, email sequence, live Q&A with all creators, flash bonus for the first 48 hours.
  • Post-launch: Closed cart or evergreen, gather genuine testimonials from students, prepare the next cohort.

Compliance and risk considerations

  • If the course covers financial, medical, or legal topics: add clear disclaimers and consult the relevant professional field.
  • Content ownership after the project ends: who keeps the recordings, who can reuse them?
  • Dispute resolution: what process applies if there is a disagreement? Mediation or arbitration?
